J.R. Rosa wasn’t living in the house on County Road 7360 near Newburg when it happened. “I was going to try and move in the spring,” Rosa said. That plan is on hold since he found his family’s future home broken into Friday. “It was sort of our dream home,” Rosa said.

Glenewinkel home a haven on Walnut Creek (Seguin Gazette-Enterprise)
SEGUIN — Texas Ranger Capt. Robert Hall and his father-in-law John G. King helped to settle the town of Walnut Springs, later Seguin, in 1838. Hall built a two-room cabin with a dog run along Walnut Creek, a short distance downstream from the Ranger Station.
